I am Rodrick Johnson, a two-time award-winning educator, literacy coach, educational advocate, author of Joey’s Story: A Long Way Home, and the founder of Energized Educator. Through my organization, I offer coaching to teachers across the nation. My vision is to create an environment where urban students are acknowledged for their potential, celebrated for their unique perspectives, and supported through pedagogical approaches that promote respect, responsibility, and readiness to learn.
